Hi. I’m Daniel Herrera, 22 years old, born and raised in Gilroy CA, 3rd year studying Animation/Illustration at SJSU. I am specializing in Visual Development. I love to draw and paint both traditionally and digitally. Art classes I’ve taken in the past include classes such as drawing, painting, perspective, illustration, 2D animation, advance figure drawing, 3D modeling, design and many more. Regarding A/I classes, I am currently enrolled in 3D animation and Digital Painting- Intro to Vis Dev. Color and light are some of my strengths, but unfortunately animating is currently one of my greatest weakness and I am still working on improving. Unfortunately, I have not taken any recent science courses since community college but I do recall taking Biology, Chemistry, and Astronomy at my CC. After I graduate, I would like use my obtained skills in Visual Development to get a career job in the film or video game industry in the Bay Area or Los Angeles. Preferably in the film industry. Ever since I was a child I grew up with the dream of working as an industry artist for Pixar, my favorite animation studio. One can only dream big. Hopefully one day my dream of becoming an art director can become a reality!
